Confession, pledge, beauty ban, and some rambling, plus introducing Blogember

Hi girls,

I have so much to tell you, that I honestly have no idea where to start. There is not gonna be any reviews here, nor any fancy pictures, well, okay, maybe a little one to illustrate my reasoning. However, since my crafts/blogging/working room is being finally ready, I had an opportunity – or a neccessity, whichever one you like, to go through my collection, and had to make a conclusion, aka confession: I have too much. I don’t know why – most likely due to the same health issues, and attempts to uplift mood I was buying way too much in recent weeks. Somewhere between my twelth mascara and fifteenth hair care product I have decided – time to a project X pan and beauty ban for 90 days. So, yeah, I won’t be buying anymore beauty stuff up till the first of February. However, you will be seeing couple of hauls in coming days, since, as I already told you, I have been buying quite a lot.

And for those who don’t know, project x is quite close to a beauty ban, where instead of buying new stuff, you try to use up as much as possible, or the amount agreed with yourself, stuff you already own. So seeing how I have so much stuff to be used, it fits perfectly. However, don’t you worry that I won’t be blogging anymore,  I have so many lovely products in a line to be reviewed, so I will blog indeed, and even more than usual, since I seem to be on a challenge runs this month, I have decided to add one more to my list, and try to blog everyday. That”s where the ‘blogember” title comes from. If you watch youtube beauty or other personal channels videos, then you are most likely familiar with the terms ‘vlogtober’, ”vlogmas”, where people pledge to film everyday, so instead of filming, I will be posting. I hope I will be able to stick to this. And that is the photo proof, og having enough.. That is not all though (not to mention the e.l.f. order coming in.. Shhh!). Please forgive the sofa surroundings – that has been my work place in couple last days, the fall is not treating me nicely..And let me know if you want to see the category collection close ups, suchs as ‘masks, scrubs, lipproducts, mascaras, etc..’ And that is excluding my nail polishes…

Now let’s get to the pledge. As of the first of February I do pledge to buy only cruelty free beauty products, and as much as I can try to switch to the natural, organic skincare, haircare products, and if I can find the way how to get my hands on, make up products – I think Denmark is rather poor when it comes to the natural, organic make-up selection for reasonable prices, or I have looked in wrong places.  But thanks for all those lovely people for the Internet, I think I will be able to find a solution.  However, you will be seeing reviews on not so natural, and not so cruelty free items up till the 1st of February, since I haven’t really thought about it that much before. And getting rid of them all would just be a waste, and toxicating environment. But from now on, I will point out which items are cruelty free and which aren’t. And here is a photo proof, that I really mean it, I did notice a lack of information, or lack of self-education, what comes to the ingredients in my used products, so I will be catching up on some knowledge gaps.

I am somewhere in the 30th page of no more dirty looks, and so far I love the writing style. Took it with me on my as much as I could natural bath yesterday, and managed to spend there double amount of time when I usually do. That turned a boring Friday evening to a blast. And I think i might have found a secret to naturally waved hair, but that needs to be tested couple more times to be proven truth. Have a fantastic Saturday and come back for more posts tomorrow!

Month in masks

Hi girls,

To start with I would like to apologize for an extremely decreased amount of the blog posts, but right now I am fighting some health issues, so I don’t want to write a post while feeling bad, and to make it look forced and dishonest. Constant headache doesn’t make it any easier to write either. However, I will try to get back on track slowly. I have been going through my make-up/skincare collection recently just to sort it out, and realized, that I have gotten quite a lot of masks, and I would love to introduce you to all of them.

So let me start with the review which is far overdue, and I do feel guilty about it, since I strongly believe that as soon as you discover an amazing product, it should be shouted out to world as soon as possible. As I told you I have quite a collection of masks and I am constantly looking for new ones. However, I do also love face scrubs, but being libra in my zodiac sign, I do face the dillemma as to what to use, and which one. Thanks to a Danish company, called Jorgobe, now I can have face mask and scrub in one for the days when I can’t decide. I like that.

Let’s start with the packaging, it is quite simple, white, squeezable tube with the black writing. I think it fits well with the concept that mask is based of natural ingriedents. I appreciate the fact that is paraben and perfume fri, so it is gentle for your skin, but dangerous for the pores and dirt on your skin. It comes out of the tube as a thick paste, which you can easily divide on to the skin, let it sit there for about 10 to 15mins, or though I do like to leave it for about 20 minutes for better effect. It has a fresh peppermint smell, which I really enjoy, and gives a little bit of tingling/pressuring effect, which I love, because I suppose that is how I know it works. Just kidding, I can also obviously see the effect. In the past month while I was testing the product, the pores on my nose decreased significantly, and my skin have never been so glowy. Moreover, skin feels so fresh and smooth, and it definitely gives refreshing effect, and is a perfect treat for the Monday morning, I have to say.

The only negative thing is,that I did notice that if you are getting off a steaming shower, or taking a hot bath, the product doesn’t dry out as well as used in ‘a dry environment’, so I would recommend it using before your baths. However, if you have very deep pores, then you do want to take a hot shower to make pores open, but then wait couple of minutes before applying mask.  And even though, masks aren’t the product I am gonna run short on in a quite long time, I am still intrigued on trying their original product, peel off mask, but I am not sure if I dare, mostly due to the color..You can buy the mask on their website right here, or visit their Facebook page for the contests, news and more reviews here. Have a very nice week, and don’t get sick! 🙂
